Mauser Bolt Action Rifle K98
From the introduction of the Mauser Bolt System with less successful G88 at the end of the 19th Century, the German WW1 G98 and then the shortened K98 in WW2 proved to be rather good. Though here at real-gun.com we may have a preference for the Lee-Enfield, there is no doubting just how well made and engineered these rifles are. The Mauser action is the most widely copied bolt action type in the world with almost all sporting rifles are based on the Mauser action. They are known for their strength, reliability and accuracy - the Kar 98 served the Wehrmacht with distinction in WWII and are still used today by target shooters.

Now we just love these shell ejecting Japanese replicas from the early `80`s - first up is the regular WW2 K98, all wood and metal construction, fully strips, cocks and dry fires, waffen staped and dated, loads and ejects shells, then the Alpine troop G33/40 K98 has got to be the rarest of the K98`s used by the Germans in WW2 - only made in small numbers for a couple of years at the start of the war for Alpine and special forces troops, they are just super rare - and we had no idea that back in the early `80`s CMC made an all metal/wood shell ejecting replica, so when one cam eup we had to get it. Excellent detailing, dates and stamps, strips, cocks and dry fires and loads/ejects plug fire shells (comes with shells) which are like a quiter blank and is a lot of fun to play around with plus has all the one off details that feature only on a G33! Deactivated Guns and the law:
Real-gun.com cannot sell deactivated guns to anyone under the age of 18. Though are not required to store this in a gun safe it is advised you store them in you dwelling, preferably in a locked cupboard. When transporting de-acs please keep them in out of site, preferably in a gun bag. Be sensible - don`t mount a .50 cal on the roof of your Jeep and take a drive - its fine on private land at shows but given the current climate please do not stress our Police any more than they currently are!
