M16`s - though an iconic design, its a bit of a marmite gun - love em or hate them. When introduced in the 60`s, the US Marines hated them - they just wanted 30-06 chambered rifles back (and like the loss of the L1A1, dropping the calibre may be viewed as a mistake....). However, the abilty to fire several clips at full auto was certainly handy in Vietnam and later modifications have kept the basic form up to the very latest M4`s, so I guess they had something right (just not the calibre, mumble, mumble). This batch of genuine US Colt M16a1`s are in good condition with original Colt mags, but the plastic has the odd crack due to use and crappy plastic being used. The deactivation spec is excellent with the bolt moving under full spring pressure, mag ejects and trigger moves, fire select works etc and comes with correct EU/UK certificate of deactivation.Deactivated Colt M16a1 - where's my Huey helicopter and motown eight track....

Deactivated Guns and the law:
Real-gun.com cannot sell deactivated guns to anyone under the age of 18. Though are not required to store this in a gun safe it is advised you store them in you dwelling, preferably in a locked cupboard. When transporting de-acs please keep them in out of site, preferably in a gun bag. Be sensible - don`t mount a .50 cal on the roof of your Jeep and take a drive - its fine on private land at shows but given the current climate please do not stress our Police any more than they currently are!
