Deactivated wartime pistols:

Deactivated wartime pistols from around the world - you`d be amazed how many there are...:

The Pistol, if you had to draw your sidearm you were generally in a lot of trouble, or shooting your own men for running away... most were pertty rubbish, many tales of exotic semi auto`s jamming (the German Ww2 HSC was once called the "jam-o-matic" by US forces when they checked out captured examples). To be honest, you really need the Colt .45 or Browning Hi Power before you get a really good semi auto, revolvers were so much better though even they are kind of funky at times....

Deactivated wartime pistols, raritie`s from around the world:

Please choose from the following examples:

Deactivated WW2 Japanese Nambu Revolver:

Deactivated WW2 Japanese Nambu revolver:

Crikey, now this is not something we see very often - A WW2 Jap Nambu revolver. These were a peculiar hammerless design that only cycles off the trigger, which this one does but it does have a very long heavy trigger pull to make it operate, makes you appreciate an Enfield Tankers pistol, though these revolvers were opted chosen ahead of the semi auto Nambu pistols because they worked better in the field... makes you wonder about the semi autos! Condition on this one is good with signs of age and wear as you would expect, rare open chamber open barrel deactivation (all but the last inch of the barrel is over bored) and comes with inerts, cocks and dry firesand comes with deactivation certification.

Deactivated WW2 Jap Nambu Revolver, very rare but I`d take an Enfield .38 any day of the week:

Deactivated Pre WW1 Swiss Shmidt M1882:

Deactivated early Shmidt M1882 7.5mm reveolver:

Another rare beast (having to dig deep during the virus restrictions to find this sort of thing) here is a Swiss Shmidt M1882 revolver in 7.5mm black powder - you`d hope it would be obsolete but the Swiss used them until the mid `70`s! This one is a very early turn of the century eaxample with the narrow black grips and octagonal barrel, These are really well engineered as you would expect - just love the way they load by fliping the cover back and rotating the chamber with the trigger (watch the Forgotten Weapons video on them on youtube to see what I mean). Condition is very good, grips are excellent, rare open chamber deactivation that takes inerts if you can find them and it cocks and dry fires and the chambers rotate correctly, comes with correct deactivation certificate.

Shmidt M1882 7.5mm revolver dating around 1900 - stunning piece of engineering!:

WW2 Mauser model 1910:

WW2 Mauser Model 1910 in 7.65:

Here`s an excellent WW2 Mauser 1910 pistol in the bigger 7.65 calibre usually reserved for German Armed Forces (the markings as to who it was issued to have been carefully milled out the side of the receiver which is a shame as it would be 3 times the price of the markings were present!) Condition is excellent, finish is spot on and the grips are original plus its matching numbers. Mag ejects, slide and trigger moves but Mauser `34`s never want to cock, and comes complete with deactivation certificate.

WW2 deactivated German Ortgies 7.65mm pistol:

WW2 Ortgies big frame 7.65mm pistol with original WW2 German leather holster and spare mag:

Here`s a great looking all original Ortgies pistol in 7.65 (known as the big frame, they also did the same pistol in a small frame .22). The Ortgies factory was taken over in 1924 by DWM, they then churned out around 400,000 of these pistols (around 200,000 in big frame 7.65) before we shut them down for making too many... so no more after 1925. They did work rather well which was why the design was pushed so hard in manufacturing but now you just never see them. Comes complete with excellent original wartime German marked leather holster and spare mag, for some reason it doesn`t cock but the mag ejects and slide moves and comes with correct certification.

Deactivated WW2 Ortgies 7.65 big frame with kit - very rare, just don`t see them:

Deactivated Steyr M1911:

Deactivated WW1 Austrian Steyr M1911:

Just a stunning early war semi auto - the Austrian Steyr M1911 (kind of similar action to Colts 1911) chambered a 9mm round and the engineers got around the tricky issue of mag design by making it top load/stripper clip only - like a C96 Mauser - sounds weird, but in WW1 it made for an exceptionally reliable 7 shot pistol. Used extensivly in WW1 by Austro Hungarian forces they were also re-issued to German troops in WW2. This one is dated 1912 and is in exceptional condition for its age, Chilean contract marked buts its this side of the pond so it never ended up there, cocks and dry fires and Comes with deactivation certificate.

Deactivated WW1 1912 dated Steyr M1911 with holster - just an epic pistol:

Deactivated Colt .380 Hammerless, Shanghai police:

Deactivated Colt .380 Hammerless - Shanghai Police marked:

Wow, one for the history guys here - a Colt Hammerless .380, but adapted and marked for the Shanghai Police. About 1000 Hammereless were adapted for use by the Shanghai Police in the interwar period at the intruction of none other than Fairburn and Sykes - the two British officers who were then called back to create the British SOE department due to there ability to dish out dirty deads - the infamouse double tap was one of theres... This ones in original condition, well worn and looks like it had a problem with additional barrel tensioner (Fairborn had a kind of spring detaent added to the left side of slide) as its been drilled out - guessing it jammed and has been dealt with in period. Fully Shanghai marked with its additional police issue numbers as well, as you would expect mag ejects, cocks and dry fires and comes with the deactivation certicication.

Deactivated WW2 1939 Italian baby Beretta:

Deactivated WW2 baby Beretta:

Deactivated WW2 baby Beretta that really does fit in the palm of your hand. Chambered for .22, its identical to a regular M34, just smaller, would have been used for hidden personal protection, spies, espionage - regular M34`s are small enough for regular concealment so this is a little bit special. Latest EU specs so the slide and trigger move but it does not cock, plus the mag ejects.

Deactivated WW2 Baby Beretta, perfect for concealment - doing business in back street bars in Tunisia...:

Deactivated Hungarian Frommer 7.65 pistol:

Deactivated Frommer 7.65 compact:

How do you describe a Hungarian Frommer? Made in Hungary up until the end of WW2 and issued to Hungarian troops in WW1 and WW2 they are just plain weird with a strange roating bolt mechanism - worked well enough but just can`t figure out why you`d build it like this. Condition is very good, nice deep markings, original grips, cocks and dry fires and comes with correct certification.

Wartime 7.65 hungarian Frommer - definatly a weird one...:
