Deactivated Lee Enfield Jungle Carbine no5:

The Lee Enfield No5 Jungle carbine was born as a direct result of Jungle fighting in the Malaysia and Borneo towards the end of WW2 where it was felt we needed something shorter and lighter that better suited to jungle fighting, but with nothing immediatly available a cut down and modified No4 was the answer and it was pretty effective is somewhat loud and impressive to fire!

Deactivated Lee Enfield Jungle Carbine no5 WW2:

Deactivated Lee Enfield Jungle Carbine no5, 1945 dated complete with bayonet:

Ah, the Jungle Carbine no5, last in the line of Lee Enfield bolt action rifles, they were shortbarelled lightened Lee Enfields, with so much flash and recoil that the distinctive fluted suppressor had to be fitted, along with a rubber recoil pad. Manufactured from 1944 - 1947, they saw action mainly in the philipines/burma campaign at the end of WW2 plus later Malaysia and Boreo campaigns where the short, compact size and big hitting power was appreciated.

This Deactivated Jungle Carbine No.5 is dated March 1945 (done in house at the ROF Fazakerley factory) and has all the correct lightening cuts including the breach end of the barrel plus it has retained the short distance special rear sight. Its had a re-parkerised at some point but we carefully took the finish back on the breach to reveal the feint electro pen markings on the breach as you would expect. Finish and woodork are Superb and its macthing numbers, plus comes with original sling and the super rare no5 bayonet, sheath and scabbard (only fits the jungle carbine). Strips, cocks and dry fires and comes complete with deactivation certificate.

Deactivated Lee Enfield Jungle Carbine no5 with grenade launcher and re-enforcements:

Blimey, sometimes a rifle comes along that you just didn`t know existed - here`s a 1945 no5 thats been factory fitted with a WW1 SMLE grenade launcher (firing a blank round it fired either a Mills bomb or smoke grenade) and has been further modified with greande launching stock re-enforcement bands and bolt and the original mag has been painted red to ensure you know to load blanks! This one is 100% original and has a great patina with enough wear and tear as you would expect. Latest EU specs so the bolt slides but does not cock, trigger moves and the mag ejects plus it comes with correct EU deactivation certification.
