Now here`s an interesting Flare Pistol - a Ww1 (and onwards) British 1" line thrower - basically a 1" Very flare pistol with a big ass brass tube attached permantly to it. So there you are, resupplying a Sub in the middle of the Atlantic and you need to get a line over to it - grab this baby and shoot the line over, easy, or if someones fallen overboard, same thing, line shot over to them with the life buoy attached. This one is in excellent original condition, full working order and does not need to be deactivated as its "life Saving Equipment" plus comes with a neat book all about it.

Here`s a mid WW2 British 1" flare pistol - gone is the gorgeous brass of the WW1 Very pistol, in with the more simple alloy affair we have here - though this one also has barrel lugs for locking it into airoplane fuselage for marking/signalling plus later batton gun conversion - though they tended to be the bigger 1 and a half inch versions. Cocks and dry fires and comes complete with deactivation certificate.

OK, there are three types of customer for the no4 mk1 - those that know they were used by the RAF and had lugs in the barrel to lock into the fusilage and allow marking flares to be fired out of Mosquito`s and Lancasters, those that know the British army later added a longer barrel and stock to create the riot gun for Northern Ireland and lastly, the Star Wars guys who know that Bobba Fetts blaster was built on one - take your choice! Condition is very good, breaks open, strips, cocks and dry fires and comes complete with UK deactivation certificate.

We list details of our current stock by batch - due to our high turnover of the most popular models - so the images and descriptions fit that model, though there may be slight variations in stock grain/colour and metal condition - please bare in mind that some of the de-ac guns are almost 100 years old!


Deactivated Guns and the law:

Real-gun.com cannot sell deactivated guns to anyone under the age of 18. Though are not required to store this in a gun safe it is advised you store them in you dwelling, preferably in a locked cupboard. When transporting de-acs please keep them in out of site, preferably in a gun bag. Be sensible - don`t mount a .50 cal on the roof of your Jeep and take a drive - its fine on private land at shows but given the current climate please do not stress our Police any more than they currently are!
