Deactivated Browning 50 cal:
Deactivated M2HB and M3 Browning 50 cals - legendery heavy:
Just Epic. When John Moses Browning was handed captured Mauser anti tank rifle shells at the end of WW1 with the brief to make the 30 cal fire them, he got it right first time - the same basic design is still in use today and is the default weapon of choice for all vehicles and tanks (aircraft tent to go for the lighter barreled M3 due to the cooling effect of flying real fast...). Although initially watercooled, the heavy barrel was introduced shortly before WW2, hence the M2HB monicker. To be honest, you really need a vehicle or maybe a re-enactment group to get the best of a deactivated 50 cal - no way your hanging one on the wall as they weigh a good 30 kilo`s plus the mount...

WW2 Relic Browning 50 cal:
Relic WW2 Browning 50 cal Aircraft cannon:
Now this is real deal history - a WW2 Browning 50 cal recovered from the ground in Northern Italy. Now this Browning has been scrutinised by several experts as to what it was fitted to - initial thoughts were fighter wing gun number 3, but then maybe it was a turret gun... turns out its a top turret gun from a B26 Marauder - they had two electrinically operated 50 cals either side of the gunner, the short alloy cover by the breach of the barrel was to allow it to traverse up and down through the turret screen. Suffered a little in the wreck as its a little bent and rusted solid as you would expect, has most of the mounting in place and some of the alloy ammo chute. Locked up solid so no need to deactivate but we`ve had the bolt welded just in case.
