Deactivated WW1 .303 P14 Sniper rifle by Winchester:

Deactivated WW1 .303 P14 Sniper rifle by Winchester:

Now here's a super rare beast - an all-original, matching numbers Winchester P14 .303 sniper rifle - the Americans converted a whole load of P14`s for the British during WW1, the Winchester made ones were picked as they were considered to be the most accurate, then fitted with a Winchester A5 scope (don`t get them mixed up with the retro-fitted WW2 conversions fitted with Aldis scopes for the Home Guard). This ones in good used condition - its not perfect but then, it wouldn`t be would it! The woodworks matching Winchester with a few minor bruises and good patina, the metalwork shows some wear and tear in places as well - the A5 Winchester scope has some of the brass tube showing where the black paint has scratched or worn though the original Winchester mounts are correct and work (these early scopes did not have adjustable reticules so the scope mount has click adjustment that moves the whole thing - apparently easily knocked out of alignment in the field, hence the replacements with Aldis or PPco`s in WW2). The scope is pretty clear with minor cloud and the reticule is good. Strips, cocks and dry fires and comes with correct UK certificate of deactivation.
