Ok, by late 1943 things were looking a little better for Blighty - threat of invasion was over and re-arming was going well - so the trusty Sten needed updating - though just a little... they added a wooden handle, stock and foregrip (though almost every handgrip was taken off as it was a bit fragile) along with a Lee-Enfield foresight and few other tweaks - creating the Sten Mk5 - introduced to the front line from early 1944. If your a re-enactor or collector interested in post D-day or Operation Market Garden (mk5`s were issued to Paratroopers where possible, not the more recognisable mk2) then you need one of these! Deactivated Guns and the law:
Real-gun.com cannot sell deactivated guns to anyone under the age of 18. Though are not required to store this in a gun safe it is advised you store them in you dwelling, preferably in a locked cupboard. When transporting de-acs please keep them in out of site, preferably in a gun bag. Be sensible - don`t mount a .50 cal on the roof of your Jeep and take a drive - its fine on private land at shows but given the current climate please do not stress our Police any more than they currently are!
